For companies focused on offering thoswe plans to the people whoneed them, it'sx meant a surge in membersx and revenue.
"We're looking at a 15 percent revenu e increase frommembership growth, plus an additional 6 percenf from a premium increase," says Senior Vice President of Marketinyg Craig Schub. A 20 percent rise in revenue woulxd mean jumpingfrom $1.3 billion in 2006 to between $1.5 billionb and $1.6 billion in he says. Chief Executive Keith Parker will leavd his post for a similard role inSan Antonio. Parker replacesd Ron Tober as head ofthe city’s transity system in 2007. News of Parker’s departures broke Tuesday morning during an interviewon WBT-AM with Mecklenburg Board of Countyy Commissioners chair Jennifer Roberts, who told the station Parker was leavingh CATS. In San Antonio, he will lead as president and CEO. City Managefr Curt Walton will name an interimexecutivew director/CEO to lead CATS. Parker, Walton and Mayor Pat McCroruy will hold a press conference Thursday at9 a.m. at the Charlotte- Mecklenburg Government Center todiscuss Parker’s departure.
As CATS’ top Parker presides over the city’s transitg system, including buses and the light-rail line along Southu Boulevard.
