New owner surfaces in latest Filene

Alan Cohen, Filene’s chief restructurinbg officer, confirmed Monday afternoon that Secaucus, N.J.-based Syms (NASDAQ:SYMS) and New York-base d Vornado (NYSE:VNO) agreed to pay about $63 millioh for the chain. A cour t hearing is set for Wednesday to approve the Cohen said.
