The 45-question telephone poll questionedr 501 people livingin Arizona, Nevada, New Mexiclo and Texas. Most respondenta — 53 percent — said “ great deal” of reform was while 33 percent optedfor “only a reform. Fewer than 15 percent of respondents said no reforjmwas needed. Some 64 percent of participants aged 31 to 44 and 61 perceny of those aged 45 to 60 said they believecd a great deal of reformwas needed.
When it came to government-sponsorefd health care, 53 percent of respondents said they or “somewhat” favored the government guaranteeing health However, that number climbed to 61 percen for the 18 to 30 age For those 61 and older, the figure fell to 41 Most respondents — 89 percent said they were covered by health insurance or a simila r plan, with 72 percent saying they were or “somewhat” concerned that coverage costs would increase in the near future. Fifty one percent also said they were concernedf that the extent of thei r coveragewould decrease.
